HARUNA IDDRISU'S SWIPE AT DR. BAWUMIA WAS
RIGHT IN PLACE - GABRIELLA TETTEH
The NDC
Central Regional Communication Officer, Gabriella Tetteh has affirmed Haruna
Iddrisu's assertion that Ghana's Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will
suffer credibility issues as a habitual lying politician.
In an
Interview, she highlighted some of the numerous promises the vice president and
his administration made to Ghanaians but failed to execute.
"The comment Haruna Iddrisu made about
the Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumai as a flagbearer, he hit it hundred
percent spot on. We were here in 2014-2015 when Bawumai in his lecture about
restoring the cedi said that if we continue to print money into the system, and
if we don't put restrictions on how much spending Bank of Ghana supports the
fiscal is going to have consequences on the cedi and that was at the time when
the cedi was 2.8. He also told us that depreciation of 1.2 to 2.8 meant that
the NDC was a complete failure. Today, as we speak with Vice President Dr.
Bawumia - flagbearer of the NPP, the cedi to the dollar is now 13.8”, she said.
The communicator said with all the knowledge and
the theory that Dr. Bawumia was propounding saying that he knew the solutions
to the country’s problems, he still could not implement those solutions in his
term of office as a vice president.

“Today when Vice President Dr. Bawumia
campaigns he’s done a complete 180 from an Akufo-Addo policy and now comes to
tell us that he is a man of his own, and he has his own ideas and his own
policy. Yet this person was the number on adviser on finance and economy",
she added.
"Dr. Bawumai could not do anything about
the currency, the economy, jobs and unemployment. In fact, unemployment today
is higher", she stressed.
She
further stated that Dr. Bawumia as president would be worse compared to Nana
Addo.
"So, if we are to analyse Bawumia and his candidature as a
flagbearer and the potential president of this country, as a matter-of-fact Bawumia
as a president is going to be even worse than Akufo-Addo as president basically
because everything he said he could not execute it. So, in terms of credibility,
we all know that he is just not there", she
concluded.
